Did you know you can get contact lenses which correct astigmatism and even reading prescriptions? Our patients that require reading glasses commonly recognise inconvenience of taking their glasses on and off... the terrific news is that some contact lenses can now solve this problem and are available in various forms.
Daily Disposables: A soft contact lens that is disposed of at the end of the day. Great for convenience, more hygienic and keeps your infection risk to a minimum.
Reusable Lenses: A soft contact lens available in two weekly or monthly replacements. These lenses must still be removed at night but can be reused. This is a more cost effective option for patients who wear their contact lenses for most of the week.
Rigid Gas Permeable Lenses: Often known as ‘hard’ lenses. These lenses are specifically tailored for the shape of your eye and prescription. This lens type, if well looked after can last for 12-18months.
As an independent practice, we have access to a wide range of manufacturers so we can find the best contact lens for you.
